LUSH: What about the OG art & decks you've got around?
WH: Well, there was an exhibit last May (ghetto gloss gallery - LA, CA), about 1000 people showed up! Dude, I was blown away…lots of art sold - there was stuff from hand drawn decks to Dogtown production decks to some handmade shit I had around…I've got stuff that I hand drew for people that maybe split when they were riding and they brought it back and got another. Luckily, I kept some.
LUSH: The original DTS stuff we've still got has so much sentimental value - it is about the time & vibe of the day…having fun, skating hard - that spirit has stayed with me - and many others - through today.
WH: Thanks for saying that - that stuff is worth some $$$ these days…
LUSH: Only if I need a kidney…
WH:(big laugh)HA-HA-HA
LUSH: Are you skating these days? What are you riding?
WH: Yeah, I skate a little these days. I mess around on the streets & go to a little skatepark in Vista & one in Carlsbad with my son. I'm riding boards I make out of the Longboard mold - 10.5" X 32" or 10.5" X 33" and the Longboard (10.5" X 38"). Tracker's are on my boards - they hooked me up with all there new wide trucks & six tracks for the wide boards! Check 'em out! Wheels?...I ride the BDS double conical or Shogo's single conical wheels. I also just set up a flat 10" and am working on a 12" flat Board with the same trucks & wheels set up -- 100% Old School style! (*Longboard mold is a double concave, center ridge, with a nose to tail rocker)

LUSH: Surf any?
WH: I'm getting to the beach more these days and my friend Craig Hollingsworth is helping me shape a new Belly Board - He's an awesome shaper, winter is coming… that's the plan!
LUSH: How about music - what are you in to?
WH: When I'm drawing, mostly mellow ambionic stuff. I like NIN (Nine Inch Nails) - just went to see STP and Social Distortion recently - love Social D! Then there's always Hendrix's Electric Ladyland…I like Public Enemy too - really a lot of different stuff. A friend brought me some classical music from one of the Slavic countries, it's cool too…
LUSH: What did you think of the movie? (Dogtown & Z-boys)
WH: I thought is came off really well - Stacey (Peralta) did a good job, he was able to tell his story - and that's cool. To me, it was really 3 movies - The Cove, Z-boys, and Vert riding. The movie focused on the Zephyr team, mainly Stacy, Tony and Jay…not so much Dogtown. Putting DT in the title...that might have been just for Hollywood, marketing and all -- there were a lot of guys around then that had a lot to do with the scene. I was there; the BMX guys rode a lot of pools too - there was a time when there were probably 30 pools working at once. We'd get together, smoke some weed, swap pool locations, and go skate. Stacey got it done and out there. I'm glad for that and him…
