Savage Skates WOODY TREND

Woody Trend is an Atlanta local, long time skater and artist whose work was recently featured on the cover of Concrete Wave's annual buyer's guide (get yours while you still can!!!). Woody works with several mediums but is most known for his intricate mosaics of glass. The deck mosaic "Fennessey" shown in the image is Woody’s tribute to local Atlanta vert pro, Ray Fennessey. It is the first in a series entitled "Legends of Skateboarding" which so far has included 3 decks with many more to come (Another deck in the series is a famous shot of Chris Miller!). If you are interested in Woody's art work and would like to contact him, he can be reached at woodytrend@hotmail.com and found HERE on MySpace.com where you can view more of his great work. Really killer art!

Airwalk's Sin Elgeljia R.I.P. ( source AoS ) As reported 10/25 on SkatePunk.com "I am sad to write that Sin Elgeljia has passed away in Australia. Apparently his sister found him in bed and could not wake him up. Sin was a great skateboarder, a generous and funny man, and always a smiling face. He was the first team manager and a designer at Airwalk in the 1980's, he rode for Madrid for years, and was known for being "Vic" in a hilarious series of Airwalk ads featured in Poweredge Magazine. He later was a lead designer at Duffs. He is already missed."

Lookin good, Mr Magnusson! ( source AoS ) For those that have not heard or seen, H-Street is back and alive and well! (http://www.h-street.com/) I posted up their first round of decks, and things are looking good. That's a pretty nice first stab at it given so much to chose from, so much history involved and the attatchment people have to H-Street and that period of time. I am looking forward for more great things to come from T-Mag and the gang. Thanks!

AOS Update...or where have we been?!?! ( source AoS ) Still here...still kickin...just been SUPER busy with real life lately. On a new project in Atlanta that is taking up most all my time. BUT never fear, I am still collecting pics and prep-ing them for uploads. I just have to get time to start adding them to the Price Guide. Maybe someone will figure out how to squeeze a 25th hour in a day....meh...I'd probably just use it to skate more or drink a few beers! haha Hope everyone is well. Stay tuned.

Happy New Year from AOS !!! ( source AoS ) Well, the end of 2008 is here and 2009 begins! First off, sorry for the lack of updates recently...holidays, personal life, etc. have kept me busier than normal. But never fear, I plan to get back to it and more focused in 2009 on making AOS better than ever! I hope you'll be along for the ride! Thanks for a great 2008 and see ya in the new year!!!

Tony Hawk & Jon Favreau this Oct 30 THURS night ( source AoS ) Not sure if anyone knows (or much cares? Those Anti-Hawk Haters club members know who you are. haha) but this thursday night at 10pm EST on the Sundance Channel the "Iconoclast" series brings together Tony Hawk and Jon Favreau. I really dig that show because they pair together some interesting folks from way different backgrounds and they just kinda hang out (best one to me so far was Eddie Vedder and Laird Hamilton). Anyways.....previews for it seemed pretty cool. Just a heads up.

Auction Advertising Abuse? ( source AoS ) Seems some folks are trying to take advantage of it and advertise either non-auction items or non-skate related or whatever. Well...time to take care of that, I suppose. Some folks can't play nice and have to be kicked out of the sandbox. Hey, I learned from the best...Slob-Air, moderator of the Skull & Bones forum! So yeh...some auctions ads deleted today....and they know why. Thanks for the heads up from the people that emailed about them...that's community!

They have gotten better, but give me screened !
Do not care (I skate them; not collect them)
