Masters Finals

There was a short break to let the sun pass a little bit out of a blinding spot in the bowl. After that, the Masters were ready to get their Finals runs over and done to join all the other old guys out in the parking lot for parties well underway at this point. (haha) That did not stop them from giving all they had left and putting down some hellascious runs. These guys might lose a few tricks as they get older, but they never lose that good natured competitive spirit! If only Load were here to heckle them all on......(haha)

Open Finals

To round out the day and bring the contest to an end, the Open Division finals began. This is what most of the crowd came to see. The big tricks, the snake sessions with 3 or more in the bowl skating, the big airs and of course, the spins. The skaters in this division had such varied styles and bags of tricks that I did not envy the job the judges had this year. The younger guys had their airs and spins, but the older guys had the power, speed and aggression. It was fun to watch!
