Afterwards

LUSH: Around 4 PM on Sun., I got a message from Seth's dad saying he'd "not made his plane"...I knew he split around 11 PM driving (said illegal jeepster...) and should have been in MD by then - I chose not to get in to the family scene I saw coming down the track - fortunately,LetsGoSkatePool called 45 min. later to say he was home in one big piece. Not quite as high spirited as when he left.

Gusto, LetsGoSkatePool, Five Points Tim, Plywood20, ShackleMeNot, Amorone, AlavCollector, The Green Monkey, Zodiac13 (& Mrs.Zodiac13 - who deserves a gold star...) and all whom I've left off the list - thanks for coming to town. I look forward to LEAVING town next year and having another big time.

LetsGoSkatePool: had a second dinner at around 1 am. Good Tapes at truck stops are hard to find, but the good ones rule. Ran out of gas once cause I accidentally turned the ac on and could not figure out how to turn it off (it was this really old push lever deally) and I got a huge 2 mpg cause it draind the gas. luckily, Lush got me a plastic jerry can and I filled it up enough to get to a gas station even though I did almost get slammed by a semi. I got back home at 1:30. Then had people to see and homework to do(just wantd to sleep!) then went to Ruth's Chris for my birthday. Went to sleep at 11:30 pm. I HAD A GREAT TIME!
Zodiac13: See y'all next time. Had a blast !!!
AlvaCollector: The last 48 hours consisted of the most alcohol I've ever drank and 8 hours of sleep total. Before I forget a big thanks to AMORONE and LUSH for making all this happen. Also, I found the Gorilla Mask story so funny I thought about changing my screen name to Gorilla Mask the whole way home. To those of you that couldn't make it.....once you read this....you'll be kicking your own ass. I had the fuckin' best time. Drinking and laughing for 72 hours. What more could a girl ask for?
Plywood20: It was great to meet everybody and I've gotta thank Amorone again for the hook-up on the rooms.
EM Dash: Great meeting all you and hope we can get together again.
Thanks to the TN bros for the hospitality and warm welcome. I felt like a local. Totally sick park. I'm gonna be down there again and hope to actually skate it.
Skatedad: My son Alex and I had a great time. We did not get to enjoy the non-skatepark activities, but it sounds like you guys had a blast. We enjoyed the whole trip except for a speeding violation in Cincinnati. Hopefully everyone made it back safe and sound. What a great park and a fun group to skate with. Thanks to all who organized.
ShackleMeNot: THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who showed up, I've been looking forward to this for along time, you all rock, and we will see each other again hopefully. Amorone, thanks for everything, rooms, buffalo billiards, just being a cool guy.
Gusto: Thanks again to chris & lush&wife for everything and everyone else as well! I still havent eaten anything other than thsoe 4 cokes I had before I went to the airport and a couple Gatorades. I think a good rest tonight and I'll be back to normal. I sweated out the poisons. I'm back on another 60-90 day detox which should hold me to about new years or so, if not longer...I really think im getting to old for this. I hurt for too long after. I really cant type out anything like you guys. Either I don't recall or I just cant even begin to think of the millions of things and/or stories I was dying laughing about. Good time had by all.
Ultraphage: Great time had by all...........thanks again Lush & Amorone for pulling this off! Lots of great skating went down (not by me though) and what looked to be lots of quality parking lot lurking/drinking. Saw 1 cop at 10:00am saturday morning...Never so much as touched a helmet. Park was nice. About half the size I was expecting though for some reason? The general was tight and scarey. I almost ate shit dropping in the 6' section and it spooked me. Rest of the park was nice flowage. Never got to hook up with anyone for after partys. We have to organize that shit better next time! I have a little more than 1 hour of total footage (mostly my cincinnati guys and the 5points crew who just happened to be skating when I had my camera out) Zero footage of myself. Lots of locals (paul sexton, darin masters, rodney cassell, another guy who absolutely ruled the pool, etc, etc). The locals were friendly and ripping (young and old). The Alva kids had the speed lines down!
The Green Monkey: Big props to Amorone, Lush, and Oldschoolrulz for organizing, coordinating, contributing, helping, offering a rainplan, etc. If you've never been to the Nashville park, go ! Even though I didn't get around to killing the trees in the middle of it, it's still a great park. That being said, take the 15 MPH sign off the exit ramp from Briley Parkway seriously. I wasn't aware that my car could turn that tightly, let alone when decelerating from 85. The locals are very mellow and laid back. Everyone I met was fun to talk to, and a few of them seem to have every possible line dialed in, some of them both front and switch. AC skated for approximately 15 seconds. Assuming that the drive down for him was eight hours each way, that's a 15:57,600 (or 1:3,840) skating-to-driving ratio. As mentioned earlier, it ended with a crash. He also spilled his beer all over Lush's shirt immediately upon meeting him.
Five Points Skateboards: What a blast this road trip was. Met a lot of you guys, got to skate a SICK park, damn near got arrested...TWICE (sorry about that guys, the fuzz is attracted to my lip fuzz. There's nothing I can do about it), got loaded, and got to check out Nashville, which was a really cool city. Thanks to Zodiac (and the Mrs.) for puttin us Ohio guys up in your room. We were just going to sleep at the park (our usual roadtrip slumber). That was very nice, and we appreciate it. Also, thanks for the Gorilla Mask Story. Tried it out on the wife last night Thanks to Lush for bringin the swag and showing us around Nashville. Your town rocks. However, that fuckin deathtrap of a bar we entered Saturday night gave me a serious anxiety attack it was so crowded. Thanks to Amorone for setting it up. Gusto, you cracked me up the whole time I was there. Thanks for the Laughs. The first thing I saw when you guys rolled into the park was you wearing a surgical mask. I knew it was you right away. Great times.

TGM, AC, SMN, Ultraphage, LGSP: It was a blast skating and hangin with ya. Wish I could've been there Friday to see the debauchery! Seth, I've never seen one person bring so many boards to a session. It was cool tooling around on some of your quiver.
Amorone:Quickly...AC is Bob Burnquist... if Bob didn't skate and sat around drinking all day......TGM is slowly becoming "that crotchety ol' man"....Zodiac13 and Mrs.Zodes must write a movie for all the crazy stories they told....ShackleMeNot rips! (but needs to learn what a bowl is)....Gusto, where do I start (bring oil next time!)...Seth, whatever the opposite of coffee is, you need to drink it by the pot daily! I forgot to mention...aside from drinking, two things AC did remarkably well during the whole trip....either (a) brags non-stop about his girlfriend, her big funbags, how hot she is and how much he loves her (while Gusto breaks in with "nuh-uhhh dude, she wants me" each and every time) and (b) calls, texts, checks in constantly with her to maintain platinum pussy whipped status.

Again, thanks to EVERYONE who could make it...and those with us in spirit too. Big thanks to all the sponsors for the great give-aways. I had a blast and am already looking forward to AoS-Fest III....oh yeh...I am the guy who plans those...better get on the ball eh? Looking forward to seeing you all again next year...and hopefully meeting several new people as well (we gotta have fresh meat to corrupt! haha)
